Tinned Fish - recs and resources?

Heard someone talking about sardines on saltines with hot sauce so decided to give them a try. Bought some Blue Planet sardines and, man, these things are freaking delicious.
Went back to the grocery store and picked up some King Oscar Mackerel and Kipper Snacks (smoked herring). Both amazing, as well.
Super healthy, cheap, and a delicious snack or lunch.
Anyone else into tinned fish? Any recommendations I should seek out or good resources for tins I can't find at the store?

While you can still find decently priced sardines like Brunswick, I have been stunned at the prices at stores like Fresh Market, Whole Foods, etc.

I love smoked oysters on saltine crackers

Sardines in mustard sauce are very nice, as long as your sommelier picks the right accompanying wine -- or you have some cold Busch Light handy.

Love it. Check out Jose Gourmet. Wild Child in Lafayette has the best selection around.

NY Times listed a tinned fish book as one of the best cookbooks of 2021:
The Magic of Tinned Fish: Elevate Your Cooking with Canned Anchovies, Sardines, Mackerel, Crab, and Other Amazing Seafood Hardcover – June 29, 2021
by Chris McDade
I have not read it but will likely peruse at the library.

Whenever I’m out hunting or fishing, I always have sardines and smoked salmon with me. Both are delicious.

They're pretty proud of their fish, apparently! Those prices are high. Thanks for rec. I'll have to bite the bullet and try some...the octopus grabbed my attention.
I'll have to try some oysters, too. I love raw oysters on the shell but they're ice cold. Not sure I'll be able to handle that phlegmy texture at room temp.

Amazon has them.
Angel hair and some olives with a can of tinned fish and some fresh garlic is a solid munch.

Do you have any Eastern European/Russian stores in your neck of the woods? They usually carry all sorts of canned/jarred fish that are way better than your supermarket variety.

I love to smoke fresh salmon. I'll brine it first then rinse it, dry it and put it in the fridge uncovered to let the meat get tacky to the touch.
Next day I'll get the smoker going, and do so to where the temperature in the smoker box never gets higher than 90F.
I'll then smoke it for several hours until done to my liking.
Then bring it in, let it cool in the fridge and then slice it thin to eat on crackers. It is especially good on those herb type crackers we get from Costco.
I'll also take some and chop it up, add it to Philly Cream Cheese with some finely diced green onions, parsley and seasoned with a bit of black pepper to use as a spread on bagels or English muffins.
I also love anchovies, sardines and smoked oysters.

The last I checked, sardines were $1 per can. Oysters a bit more.
Go to Wally World or dollar general. Chicken of the sea/Bumble bee brand are just as good as the expensive brands at Whole Foods.

Magic of Tinned Fish
My wife gave me this book for Christmas and it has a ton of recommendations for all kinds of tinned fish.
