You won’t be missed. Thanks for not going back. It gets aggravating having to wait for a table.

Burgersmith is terrible.

Me and my wife have tried almost every burger they have, and nothing is impressive at all. Tried the buffalo burger, the filet burger, and the others.......looking for the one that makes you say "yes". Disappointed every time. Done trying.

Market Eatz among the others mentioned are in the "yes, hell yes" category.

The boss burger from office hours is great. It's got jalapenos mixed in with the meat. Couple that with there homemade onion rings and you've got yourself an awesome meal.

When did you go … recently ? If so you are aware that hurricane Ida shut down the oyster harvest season which opened on 9/8/21. Popular restaurants in NOLA (Dragos, ACME, Felix’s, etc…) couldn’t even get oysters from the fishermen or wholesalers. Don’t blame the restaurant, blame Mother Nature

The seafood gumbo and fried catfish there is legit. Wash it down with a couple old fashions.

I don't like the weird way they do their fried shrimp, though.

during my college days, I frequented the Strip and remember Poppa Q burgers from around 1988 ~ 1993. He pushed a shopping cart around and cooked in the Mako's parking lot, or in front of Lafayette Motors. Frankie likely came after as I recall he cooked out of a food truck, parked next to NiteCaps

Correct, Frankie showed up around 1998 if I remember correctly. He eventually opened an actual restaurant downtown when the city shut him down. Didn’t make it
