Entertainment at brunch featuring talented drag queens is a thing not just in New Orleans, but in cities like Miami, Baltimore, and even across the pond in London. In her new book Drag Queen Brunch, local food celeb Poppy Tooker puts the spotlight on talented local performers including artist and cover girl Vinsantos and the dynamic Laveau Contraire. Deliciously photographed by the talented Sam Hanna, the book includes recipes, stories, and a history of drag in New Orleans.

Note: Most drag brunches are pop-ups, some happen every other week and others every weekend. The first brunch feataures Dusty Ray Bottoms of RuPaul’s Drag Race, former Miss Gay New Orleans USofA Britney DeLorean and the fish who fled from Hawaii (Slenderella).
