Is there a cheaper version of it for making margaritas?

triple sec is cheap already but what I really like is called cactus juice which is tequila triple sec and marg flavor all in one bottle. Just add as you would the triple sec which I believe is merely orange liquer.

If you're going to put some form of orange liqueur in your margarita - as most folks do - triple sec is the cheapest option.

The alternatives are Cointreau or Grand Marnier, which are essentially high-end triple sec.

The more expensive, but better tasting, is to use Cointreau. I guess you could try orange oil and simple syrup. K.C.

Grand Marnier for a top shelf. Gran Gala is a cheaper substitute for Grand Marnier. Almost as good. You probably can't tell the difference in a 12 oz+ Margarita.

Triple Sec is about as cheap as it gets.
