Glad you enjoyed it.
We had one of the worst dining experiences I've ever had. It a shame because I had high hopes, but they'll never see another dollar from me.

What happened

round two last night
same table on the porch

mufongo gumbo, stellar
tomatoes and buratta, very good. The tomatoes were bursting with flavor
had to get the paella again
pitcher of sangria
stumbled to the southern and booked a room LOL

service/food/setting all A+
coerced the sangria recipe out of the manager:

-1 bottle wine
-1/4 cup each brandy, pomegranate juice, cranberry juice, orange Fanta, sprite
-whatever fruit you like

surprisingly I did some research afterwards and the Fanta thing is legitimate in Spain. Who knew. It’s very good

I loved it! My friend had the burger, fabulous! Mahi Mahi with rice was sooo good too! Everything was good!

so the last few time we’ve been, Valencia hasn’t been as good at the first visit. Service has always been superior and that goes a long way but the food was inconsistent.

we went last night for the first time in a while and it was the best meal we’ve had there. Looks like the kinks are getting worked out, and it was full and lively. A table on the porch is still the best setting in Covington. Paella was outstanding and we also had the tortilla tapas and the watermelon salad, pitcher of excellent sangria.

Great date place

Sweet. I'm on the Northshore so this would be a quick little 20 minute drive for me. Might check it out based on your recommendation! How is the seating inside?
