was i wrong in this situation concerning my bar tab? (updated finally in OP)

Update: Ok finally went and talked to the manager. He was really cool and just wanted to make the situation right. He explained that one server opened up the tab but another one forgot to close it when i left (20% tip added). He refunded all the shots we didnt take and took off the tip. I agreed to pay for my beer and stuff I drank and he gave me a gift certificate to come back and drink.
He said not giving me an itemized thing wasnt right and that he wishes I would have said something that night.
was at happy's last night and had a bar tab opened and was basically buying drinks for me and 2 of my friends. we were just drinking beer and did a few shots here and there and when i closed my tab the girl brought me a receipt that said $200.
i looked at it and said wtf in kind of an a-hole way (just a natural reaction) and said that couldnt be right. beers are $3 and the shots were lets say $6 so i am pretty sure i didnt order 40 beers and 10 shots. i asked if anyone besides me ordered drinks on my tab because i do have a really common last name and it has happened before and she said no. i asked her if she could give me a printout of my whole bar tab and she said she couldnt, wtf.
i was obvioulsy pissed(and trashed) and told her that this was fricking bullshite and basically signed the bill, threw it on the table, and told my friends to get the tip.
i was being a dick but to not give me a full receipt on a 200 dollar bar tab is kinda bs. also, whats the chances of a bartab falling on exactly $200?

now i know they overcharged me. and is that a tip added on to my credit card? my online banking is down right now and i cant see the actual charges right now?

Not wrong at all. That's a bunch of crap. Someone was definitely ordering drinks on your tab to get to $200.

ok 4 bucks, regardless i was already drunk when i walked in (was the last leg of a pub crawl) and i didnt drink another 10 beers in there. and i know the girl i was with didnt drink that much either.

So you don't want that $100-$120 back? I'd have made more of a scene at the bar than you did, but it's too late for that. I'd call someone and at least get it cut in half.

If you don't mind me asking, How much did your friends end up tipping? That could have been some awesome profit for that bar tender if there was some funny business going on with your bill.

I don't know. There are very few times that I don't think "how the frick did I drink all that" after receiving my bar tab. I think yall drank it rjone

You'd be surprised at how high tabs can get in Happys...shots can be pretty pricey too.

The main thing you did wrong was not demand an itemized receipt. Thats BS that they cannot provide one. If they can enter it into the system they can tell you what was purchased.
If a bar is crowded its probably not a good idea to run a tab to begin with.

if she can't give you an itemized receipt then she is stealing from you. I would call Happys and ask to speak to a manager, reputable places don't pull that shite.
I worked in restaurants in college and saw servers pad tabs pulling this stunt. You got taken, I would definetly call a manager.

Asking your waitress for one is not the same as demanding an itemized receipt. Talk to the manager if she says no. They have to be able to say what was purchased for all CC txns.

I hate bars that don't give you an itemized receipt. I want to know exactly how much I spent on my drinks and make sure the right amount is charged. bullshite they didn't give you one. I'd try something. Don't let this die.

Nothing wrong with giving the manager a phone call and getting it sorted out.
Did you use a debit card or credit card?
