Back in the day they were huge .
It was almost the entire wing .

With tips on the wing .

Now they are microscopic with no tips on the wings and almost twice the price .

I first noticed this in 2020

But I assumed they must have had supply issues with covid .

But I went again the other day and it was the same thing .

It’s sad how this once great chicken wing has gone bad

Smaller sized food portions and increased prices are directly related to this phucked up world we live in today. Dining experiences from your past will never be seen again.

Never? Then how come some places are still providing that dining experience from the past?

You noticed in 2020 that Hooters stopped serving full wings 30 years ago?

I can’t remember them serving anything but drums and flats.

I think I’ve been to Hooters maybe once in the last 2-3 years.

But their wings are usually the best.

I need to schedule a visit soon and check on quality control.

The wings with the tips were an extra production line for our suppliers. The then ownership could negotiate a better price if they made the switch to the wings without the tips. It was more efficient for the suppliers and made for a better cooperative purchase agreement. As far as the price, they have come down for the bone in wings but not the boneless. Wings aren't the only thing we are paying for with that revenue. As far as the size, I can only speak for Houma but I haven't found bigger wings. The only time my sizes/counts took a hit was when all those chickens were killed for some avian flu and the supply took a hit. They weren't growing the chickens for as long to maintain the supply chain

12 wings and fries does nothing to fill me up. I do enjoy it though but hardly go now.

look at the silver lining. you aren't eating as much food and since the price has doubled you are probably eating there half as much

On a side note we went to the Pluckers on campus last week and while not cheap the wings were great. Hadn’t been there in years

Me too...at least 2 decades ago. They were small and overpriced then too. If I went today, it'd only be for the titties and Buffalo shrimp.

Been a few times the last year or so. Place is ran horribly. Workers just leave food on the table forever and don't clean up anything.

I ate lunch in there with 1 other table listening to death metal so loud on the stereo I couldn't talk to the waitress. It was so loud it was comical.

And yea it's expensive as hell
