Sal n Judy's is the best restaurant in the state and is geographically located north of the lake.

It really was a great place though.

Any of y'all been to Dakota recently? I haven't been in over 10 years. It just popped into my head.

Oxlot 9 would be my choice. Dakota is pretty good but I think Gallaghers is better if you're looking for that type of menu.

Sal and Judy’s. FYI-You don’t have to order off the menu. They will cook whatever you request.

Sal & Judy’s gets my vote — saying it’s best Italian in the state isn’t a stretch.

I'd rather eat sludge out of my ditch

Not the best (most of those have been mentioned), but Pardos is worth checking out. Quality food and service on the west side of the parish.

I’ve always been partial to Buster’s Place due to the oysters. Yugin is outstanding for sushi.

I am not from the Northshore, but my answer has always been LaProvence. I have not been there since the new chef took over though.
