I am wondering this because whether I do an auto-defrost or a timed defrost it still pauses and requires me to flip the food. If I have some entree that's frozen rather than meat, I obviously can't flip it.

I don't have the manual.

So I figure I can do the same as a defroster by changing the power level. The only thing is I don't know what power level a defroster runs at.

TIA!

That's what I learned/read when I got my first microwave, and I never use a defrost setting. Pound of ground beef 10 minutes at 30%. Works like a charm.

I think defrost also cycles the power on and off; it's not continuous
