What's the story on Jabby's Pizza?

Jabby’s is a new quick fire pizza concept. The owners could not immediately be reached for comment.
BR Business Report
I'm not able to locate anything from a social media or web presence perspective other than a blurb in the BR Business Report.
Is this a Lit pizza type concept?
Owner appears to have owned (or still does) The MailBag Goals & Poles and Sport Court of South Louisiana.

Hi! Jabby's is a family-run fast, wood-fired pizza concept that will be opening in late May next to Alexander's Supermarket on the corner of Perkins and Highland Road. We are committed to giving back to the community and using locally-sourced ingredients as well! We will be opening a second location off of Lee Drive near LSU later this summer. I hope you can come by and check it out sometime!

I heard this place opened. Anyone been?

Looks a lot like they just copied Lit.

Lit copied Blaze and others.....

Fast fired pizza has been around for several years, before Lit. But yes.. in typical BR fashion, we will probably get 5 different versions of the concept when all is said and done.

Maybe conceptually, but those 2 similarities are just strange.
And Hungry Howies copied Papa Murphys, and Chipotle copied Juan. Conceptually.

Same w burritos and burgers and take n bake pizza, I get it.
Was just stating that it looks like Lit inside to me. Lit doesn’t look like Blaze to me. And Blaze does not look like PizzaRev, etc.

Direct clone of Lit.
But not as good. In my opinion.
Jabby's crust is better. But their ingredients, specifically their Alfredo sauce, blows. It's chunky and not creamy. And they're stingy with their quantities.
If you're going to mimick another concept, you better learn to separate yourselves from them by doing something different and/or better. Based upon my one experience, they don't. Time will tell.
Seating is atrocious. Too many high tops vs. tables. Families ended up having to split up.
And to exit the building, while disposing of trash, is a complete cluster when four or five tables leave at once. No one knows to just dispose of trash and leave. Instead, they all congregate believing that no one else is waiting behind them.

What are your thoughts on the place, aside from imitation is flattery?

It will never top Johnny's

Glad I’m not the only one that noticed it, albeit the grief I got earlier in the thread....

Like others have said, very similar to Lit. They even have the same type of signage on the wall, menus & ingredient placards. I’d go to whichever is closer to me. Some things I noticed.
+ Crust seemed to have more “bite” to it. Lit crust tends to get soggy really fast so I usually have them bake mine a little longer. Didn't need to do that at Jabby's.
- The mozzarella seems a bit greasier than Lit making it much easier for the toppings to just slide off the slice. Found myself having to use the New York fold.
- Their Italian sausage is sliced, not crumbled.
+ Andouille is spicier than Lit and thicker sliced.
+ They seem to have more alternative options than Lit. Like having a duck & fig pizza or prosciutto. Don't currently offer a pizza of the month like Lit.
- No beer yet but they said they’d have some in ~2 weeks.

This thread actually flung a craving on me for pizza, so the family went to Lit. (Son’s choice)
I remembered this post mentioning soggy pizza in the middle so I paid attention tonite. We ordered 3 pizzas and none got soggy... I loaded up my “build your own,” too. Dunno why yours may have been?

Anywho... thanks to you all for the calorie bomb tonite! Cheers.

It was ok but I definitely agree with your post
There was a 14 year old working the floor that would ask if you done after every bite
It has a very chain feel. I prefer lit

Here's an end-of-2020 bump.
I just saw an online video ad for Jabby's. They're still afloat despite this thread?
155 seconds to bake a pizza..........whoa, daddy!
Anyway, how's the food over there these days?
