Went to the one on Jones Creek the other day and was pleasantly surprised to see the OR back on the menu

They're pre-battered and frozen, and not like what they used to make.

I hadnt had them for probably a decade until the other day...Seemed like they tasted the same
I hope this is permanent move not temporarily

Why are they bringing back sides without fixing their:
mash potatoes, red beans and rice, and dirty rice.
god they are horrendous.

They're odd about Onion Rings
The one in Houma by my high school always had the homemade onion rings.
Move to BR and none of the BR ones have onion rings. I called to ask why they didn't have them and I got a bunch of coupons for free 3 piece dinners in the mail

Whoever owns the BR franchise of Popeyes is a cheap sob. He has destroyed a good product there. The chicken is by FAR smaller than at any other location. He charges extra (or he was) for rice products. The sides have less product and he is the only one I know that serves frozen OR instead of the flaky hand made ones.
BTW they had onion rings at most places just wasnt on the menu and there was an extra wait.

About the red beans and rice, it just never has enough flavor for my taste. Bland is the only word I have for it.
The mash had gotten better, but still not as good as churches mash. Needs more butter and a more savory gravy.
Btw try churches Cajun rice. It is damn good. Greasy as all he'll sometimes but always hit the spot. In fact I'll sometimes get popeye's chicken and then head to the near by churches for the dirty rice and honey biscuits.
