Tried Total Wine, Albertson's, Rouses, Nunu's...anyone have any luck finding this? Maybe they're on to something with the name.

Champagne's in the oil center, Marcello's liquor store maybe.
ETA: Did you check the new Rouse's on Camelia? They have a huge selection.

Can probably find it at Champagne’s but it’s going to be probably double msrp

You can find Eagle Rare and Buffalo Trace all over Mississippi.
Here in Texas they are practically impossible to get. It's bizarre.

Went to the new Rouses on Camellia last night. No luck. But that's a beautiful store.

Unlikely to find on the shelf anywhere. Will have to ask at the places listed above.

I was in Albertson’s a couple of weeks ago, and the clerk had a bottle behind the counter that someone didn’t want, so she sold it to me
Had some last night- delicious!

Where in Mississippi? I’m there for work all the time and never see either. Buffalo Trace starting to show up in BR a little more often.

Buffalo Trace is everywhere in Lafayette, Eagle Rare isn’t quite as common, but I’ll see it at all of the places here occasionally

Where at? Didn't see it at Verons, Champagnes, or Total Wine this past week.

Wasn't that long ago Costco kept cases of it along with BT. Good luck finding it now.

It's not something I go out of my way to look for, but there was plenty at Rouses on Camellia (a pick even) this past weekend. I'm trying to think of where else I've seen it, but I remember thinking "people say this is hard to find but there's a few cases just sitting on the shelf here". Could've been Albertson's on Kaliste/Ambassador, or maybe it was Rouse's on Johnston. It's definitely out there, and not super hard to find. Probably easier to find at grocery stores (or even gas stations) that aren't places that people go to hunt for bourbon like Veron's, Champagne's, or Total Wine.
ETA: I think it may have been Whole Foods

I think I saw it at Nunu’s in Scott recently

Called Phillipe's and stopped in Champagne's in the Oil Center today looking for Eagle Rare...no luck.
Regarding Buffalo Trace, there was a huge display at the new Rouses on Camellia. Pretty sure Albertson's on Ambassador/Kaliste and the one on Albertson Pkwy in Broussard had a bunch.

Seems like the 1st rule of bourbon hunting is that if you go out looking for a specific bottle, you’re doomed to not come across it.

I'm here to proselytize for Old Forrester Prohibition Style, which I saw recommended in another thread. I think they put phencyclidine in it.

Other wild card places to call would be Chop's and Richey's Y-Not-Stop in Broussard.
I think Russel's Reserve 10 would be a good alternative if you're just buying something for yourself.
