My mom gets it at Langensteins in New Orleans when ever I come In town, trying to find it in br because the gf loves it.

Anyone know where I can find it here? I'm assuming it has a different name up here too.

For those that don't know, it's a bunch of different grated cheeses and pecans... It's amazing

Check Matherne's and Calandros.

You should be able to find it at either of them.

Two cheeses enter, only one leaves.

Nah man, I've never heard that term before.

Could it be better cheddar? I've never heard of or seen thunder dip. I'm interested, though.

Try the walnut cheddar spread at Calandro's on Perkins. That stuff is amazing.

I've never heard it called thunder dip and didn't know it could be purchased as a prepared dip. I just make it and call it Pepper Jelly & Pecan spread. I see that the other recipe says walnuts. I've only ever used pecans. Good stuff and always a hit.

FYI, urban dictionary defines thunder dip as something completely different.

Just sayin.
