Since king cake season is around the corner. Who has the best king cake around Baton Rouge?

Calandro's
Never been to Oak Point. And people might say Calandro's isn't "traditional" and to that I say "good."

That party store by Cortana sometimes has Manny Randazzos. Other than that, I go to Calandros

I know it doesn't officially count, but the donut version from Thee Heavenly Donut was legit. Not sure if they are still around.

Are these shipped in from Dong Phuong or made inhouse?

Driven in. They have someone drive every morning and pick them up on Fridays. May be every day now. Used to be just Fridays.

Don't sleep on Costco's king cakes. Seriously, try one.

I've tried several of the Calandro's specialty king cakes over the past few years based on their descriptions and they've always underwhelmed... sometimes the listed ingredients were nowhere to be found; other times the fillings are very skimpy. I'm sticking with Oak Point.

Much prefer the KC Balls from Gambinos.
