Save me from having to ring the bell and contact the butcher. Ive never bought it, but want to try my hand at cooking down calf liver and onions. I'm thinking it may be frozen by the savois mix. Or is there somewhere around BR I should buy it fresh? Thanks for the help.

Never eaten this or been given the opportunity to eat calf liver.

How did you come to think about cooking it yourself?

You scared bruh? It's a good thing to have a relationship with your butcher.

You need to find you an old school sort of grocery store (the type blue hairs like) who has an actual butcher department. A place like Dorignacs in New Orleans is what I'm talking about. I think they will almost always have it in their case and certainly won't see it as some sort of off the wall request if they don't and you ask for it.

ETA, in BR, maybe Calandros would be your best bet.

Is calf liver lighter in color than beef liver? As the way veal is lighter.
