Ville Platte
Here. Just ask a local where the best boudin, tasso and sausage is.Chances are he'll send you to at least 3 different stores. You'll be in meat heaven.

The Stuffed Chickens and Pork Chops are some of the better. Cracklin's are good.

Boudin would be better in N.I. and Laffy Taffy.

If your gonna be in Breaux Bridge, stop here...

This, and I hate to say it but I love Dons.

Also, for boudin with a nice snap to it I really like Guillorys in Pine Prarie.

Eunice Poultry is also pretty strong.

Also Weelo's Grocery 1999 Chataignier Hwy for the awesomest cracklins in Cajunland.

Ok.

BR - Ronnies for some Boudin Balls and Cracklin

On way to Alexandria stop at Billy's in Opelousas
or Bourque's in Port Barre in Lake Chuck there is decent boudin at Market Basket. Not sure about New Iberia. But sounds like you will pass through Scott from Lake Chuck so make a stop at Dons and load up on some cajun meats.. Stop by best Stop and get some smoked boudin. And of course Jacobs for andouille.

ETA NuNu's is on way to New Iberia sort of so that would be a good stop for the NI route

If you end up going through Krotz Springs, there's a market right at the foot of the bridge, but I can't recall the name of it. I stopped there several weeks ago. I like their boudin and then, I stop at Bourque's in Port Barre. I like Don's as well.

I love everything at Hebert's in Maurice.

There's a grocery store right off the interstate/service road in Sunset called Janice's. The boudin there is pretty good, also.

If you stop at Bourque's.. try a pack of their marinated pork grillades.. and yes, their boudin is awesome.

If going thru south Lafayette, drive a few miles down Hy 167 to Hebert's in Maurice.

If in Abbeville, just north of Shucks is Otis Richard's. Great boudin, gratons (cracklin) and by all means get some of the boneless chicken thighs with jalapeno cream cheese wrapped in Bacon...
