I went and looked at their wine list and its actually not the worst. I figured it would be a trash metairie wine list and while there is a lot of that, its not bad.
They have a fricking bottle of Petrus on there ($8,900) lol

Blue Bayou (tourist trap on Canal) just got busted for this. Manager texted servers whoever got the most reviews mentioning their name would get $100, but would only count if the restaurant got back to a 4.6 star rating. Also told them if a server is mentioned in a negative review, they had one shift to get six 5 star reviews.

Everyone has different tastes, but I don’t care about “instagram worthy cocktails”. I’m happy with bourbon neat.
I don’t want to listen to a “world class DJ” when I’m eating dinner.

All of that tells me they’re serving overpriced, sucky food.
The food at any restaurant should speak for itself. The rest of that nonsense, including $400 gold covered steaks, is just gilding the lily.
Everyone’s opinion my vary, and that’s fine, but IMHO customers of places like that only go there to have their ego stroked.
I don’t need my ego stroked, and don’t need to pay $400 for a steak to feel validated.
Good luck to them, hope any business starting out has success.

Another excellent option for the movers and shakers of Louisiana.
That same guy opened a douche restaurant in Boston a couple years ago. It was a massive flop and is already permanently closed.
