Bardstown Chateau de Laubade or Bardstown Founders KBS Aged Stout Barrel Finished Straight Bourbon. Both are in that price range and taste great!

Midwinter's Night Dram by High West Distillery

You've ever seen a Dram in the wild? I have not. That is one delicious bottle but the likelihood of finding it and buying it at retail is slim to none. Plus, he would probably want to save that for himself.

I found 2 the other day for $150.

I haven't come across it either, but they produce over 100k bottles of it every year now, so it shouldn't be too hard to come by. You can get it online and have it shipped for sub $200. Now, I don't think it'll come in by Christmas this late in December, but that would've been an option.

When I went to the distillery a few years back I was hoping to get some but they weren't even selling them.
Texas boys have such better luck. The hauls that I see from people who work in Texas is just not fair. Most of that stuff never hits the shelf in Louisiana. All behind closed door sales.

Yeah, but I'm fairly certain that you can't even get whiskey shipped to you if you live in Texas.

Not in DFW. Allocated stuff either doesn't hit the shelves or if it does, it's secondary market prices or you have to camp out overnight

Not correct. I just had two bottles of JT Meleck shipped to me via UPS. Wife had to sign for it when delivered.

Barrell Craft Spirits 16 Year Gray Label Seagrass or
Barrell BCS Gray Label Dovetail 16 Year Bourbon
Some Whistlepig fall in that price range.
Bardstown Bourbon Foursquare
Four Gate has several out in that range.
Most of these are findable without to much effort.

I haven't. My SiL did once. He found two bottles and gave me one. I like him. Wonderful stuff.
