Simple suggestion

Ingredients:

• 1 can (6.5 oz) minced clams (drained, but reserve about 1-2 tablespoons of the clam juice)
• 8 oz cream cheese, softened
• 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
• 1 tablespoon lemon juice
• 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
• 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
• 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
• Salt and pepper to taste
• Chopped parsley or chives for garnish (optional)

Instructions:

1. In a medium bowl, combine the softened cream cheese and mayonnaise. Mix until smooth.
2. Add the lemon juice, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, and onion powder, then stir well.
3. Fold in the minced clams and about 1-2 tablespoons of the reserved clam juice to give the dip a creamy texture.
4. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Adjust the thickness by adding more clam juice if desired.
5. Garnish with parsley or chives if using.
6. Chill for at least 30 minutes to let the flavors meld.
7. Serve with crackers, chips, or veggies.

Thanks. This is very similar to the one I found on the NYT this morning, but they use Sour cream instead of cream cheese/Mayo mix.

Yeah, I was going to post the same thing, sour cream instead of cream cheese.
And if you want it kicked up a bit add horseradish to taste. A little goes a long way.
