List just came out today. Noma awarded #1. I haven’t been but it’s long been on my list. Who has been to any of these and what was your experience like?

I've been to 44 - Le Bernardin.

Incredible experience. Our table was on wheels so when a waiter would see you sort of shift to get up from the table they come out and move it...the attention to detail was next level. Food was amazing, Dover sole meuniere with a cabbage/crab appetizer. Eric Ripert was wandering the dining room. Must eat in NYC

I have been to Septime in Paris. This was back when it was on the Michelin watch list and was considered a hot spot but didn't have its star. The lunch was crazy affordable at the time for such a place.

It was VERY good, but it wasn't the best meal I had in Paris. Still damn good though. From what I have heard they have upped their game considerably since then.

I have been to the sister restaurant of DiverXO in Madrid, StreetXO, which was fricking great. It was a total scene, punk rock playing, chefs in straight jackets and with mohawks, blow torches, and the food was awesome as well. Expensive but great value for the quality.

I thought long and hard about going to Disfrutar in Barcelona but did Tickets instead, which has been on this list a few times. Tickets was stunning.

I see Restaurant Tim Raue is on the list, thinking about doing one of his restaurants, Colette, in Munich soon.

i feel like so much of these ratings is more based on artistry of the plate and technique than the actual taste.

I'm quite sure the food is unreal, but it's almost too intimidating or beautiful to eat. i'd probably just stare at it for a while before i ate it

Never been to anything approaching a Top 50 but would love to make my way to Spain or Japan to try one of those that made the list

A ton of these chefs have 2nd restaurants that are amazing but not quite as crazy expensive as the flagship tasting menu place.

Personally, I usually opt for those.

You will not be disappointed. Just have a day in between. First trip we did Pujol for dinner and Quintonil for lunch the next day. It was too much.

Most recently we did the taco menu at Pujol. It is a toss up as to whether the tasting or the taco menu was better. Sitting at the bar interacting with the server for the taco menu was great. Much more relaxed and fun (granted we did the drink pairing) but the tasting is amazing.

The space is very cool, have a Carajillo at the garden bar after dinner.

I have not been to #56 Sud777, but can recommend Contramar, especially Friday lunch, Maximo Bistrot and Rosetta.

We were supposed to go to Pujol and Quintonil in May 2020, had reservations and all. But you can imagine why that fell through.

We expect to go there in May 2022 though.

The TD food challenge is legit. I don’t have the cojones to compete.

Same here. Probably one of the best meals I have ever had. Eric Ripert was not wondering the floor when we went, however.

Ive been to #5 - Disfrutar (Barcelona)

It was an amazing experience and I really enjoyed it! But I wouldn't necessarily need to go again, though I certainly would..

For what its worth, my favorite ever meals have been at Joe Beef (Montreal) and Frenchette (NYC).. I would eat at both, regularly, if I lived in either one of those cities..

Been to 9 and 44

Don Julio is the best wine experience I’ve ever had. Been to Le Bernardin twice and it’s outstanding
