It's 9:30 am, you have not had a bite in a day and a half, you are starving, where do you go? I'm heading for Waffle House. My wife wants a fast food sausage biscuit, she says WH takes too long.

Whoever had the colonoscopy decides, End Thread.

ETA: That person did a day or longer of light liquid intake, explosive shits, burning butthole from said shits, mild anesthesia to go into "twilight", anal probe, gas from hell in the recovery room and then coming out of it hungry as a bear awakening from hibernation.

Whatever it is, I would be close to a bathroom if it's anything like what happens after I do a 24 hour fast

Bone broth with butter in it.

Scrambled eggs with cheese a few hours later.

It's a great opportunity to rebuild a healthy gut and eat clean, because you basically just destroyed it.

I went to the Chimes. Of course, my stupid arse scheduled a colonoscopy for 11 a.m., so I didn't eat until 3 p.m.

I went to Picadilly, but it was the week of Thanksgiving and I wanted turkey and dressing.

One time I made the mistake of going to Another Broken Egg on Perkins, the most overpriced crap in BR. I schedule mine as early as possible, so I'm done by 9:30. I have to have one every 3 years because of polyps, next time I'm holding out a Rocco's Poboy.

No, you don't "have" to have one every 3 years. That's the schedule your Dr. put you on and you are in agreement with.

ETA: I know the following as fact. Once I hit 65 and got on Medicare and People's Health, I had to find some new Drs. since my primary care guy was not on their list.

Seems once you are on Medicare and Uncle Sam is paying the tab, the amount of testing the Drs. want to put you through goes up exponentially. I did my first colonoscopy when in my mid 50's and was told I should do another in 10 years.

Fast forward 10 years and at age 65, and on Medicare I get a second one. Same results, but now the Dr. wanted me to have another one a year later along with an upper GI even though I had no issues. I told him to go pound sand.

It's a good thought, but better make that order to go. That stuff can run through you faster than "Speedy Gonzalez".

Halfway home you may be needing a complete interior overhaul of your car.

I wouldn't go to any place and eat in... I witnessed a guy cut big farts post-colonoscopy in a restaurant.
