Are their any good ps5 fantasy or medieval based sandbox games?

Something like the Witcher, Skyrim, etc. I’d also be okay with an rts and was looking at getting crusader kings 3. I mostly just play online but my internet has been fricky lately so I wanted a good single player game.

Have you played the free FF 16 demo? Full game release is next week and your demo progress will transfer over.
It returns final fantasy series to a medieval setting. Demo is really good.

There's a game called Medieval Dynasty that's oddly fun. You basically build out an entire new town from scratch. Gathering / building / survival.

FFXVI Opening
FFXVI is darker than some of the previous games. That link is the opening scenes from the demo. Fast forward to the 5:30 mark in the video to see the war cinematic to determine if its too cartoony for you.

I don't think it is, but the new Final Fantasy is far less "cartoony" than what you expect. Give the demo a shot.
I was going to recommend it as well as Kingdom Come: Deliverance.

You know the Souls games and ESPECIALLY Elden Ring aren’t really that difficult right? If you grew up with an NES/SNES you’ll be fine.

Yes it is. FF is totally cartoony please avoid. You asked a question and got answers and just said no I don’t like that.
The only medieval fantasy that’s going to be truly next gen off the top of my head but it’s dark fantasy and rated M

Kingdom come deliverance is fun but honestly it’s a fricking grind. I’m not sure how much id call it fantasy either.
But mostly I concur with the thread. Get the demo for 16 it is free and like 3 hours long if not that sorry both pick a FromSoft. My personal fave is Sekiro, but BB and Elden Ring can miss either especially if open world is important pick up Elden
