My guess is they'll add in some effects like CG crowd/players to fill it out, make them the stand out. Kind of like the loading screen on 24 where you see a half dozen jersey names and then a bunch of non descript players around them

That looks like a cover you'd expect to see in an Indy game.
IMO, it's dumb to be putting freshman and current players on there. I will say at least with the ones like DJ Lagway they have playing time, so that makes it a little better. But I think the old covers where it was a guy who just graduated and/or left for the draft were better. Almost like it was a recognition for what they accomplished in their college career. Now they put a true freshman on it?

I hope they fix the bug in last year's game where several players you "encouraged to transfer" are at the top of the next season's board for your team's portal interest list.

There’s several things about the portal that need to be fixed. Often times you’ll have zero interested players at a position in which you are weak. If I went 10-2 last year with Louisiana tech and my starting qb for the next season sucks, there will be transfer qb interest, but Ohio st will get the top 2 qbs in the portal who’s deal breaker is playing time.
I’m not asking for it to be unmitigated free agency like real life, but building your roster through recruiting and supplementing weak spots through the portal wasn’t really realistic in 25
