That's a huge bummer as he's become one of my favorite personalities on the site. Damn the West coast office is mighty thin now.

Jeff mentioned them making some hires in the near future, but man, with Dan relocating and now Drew leaving, I'm really not that interested in listening to the grumpy old man podcast.

Yeah I started listening to the Beastcast when Dan moved. I don't believe half the shite he says but he's entertaining at least.

I wish they would Skype in Dan. Something... I miss him on the show weekly.

Dan (and Drew) were the perfect foils for Jeff (and Brad). Jeff has seemed even grumpier than usual the last month, I wonder if this trying to replace Drew and Dan was weighing on him.

Ryan Davis actually talked about skyping in for the podcast years ago and he wasn't a fan because dynamic of face to face interaction suffered and they weren't going to do it. Kind of ironically, the one time I can remember people skyping in was the Ryan Davis memorial podcast.

Drew and Dan are such polar opposites, but they had a unique friendship that just worked. Great dynamic for Metal Gear Scanlon, and it was interesting to see that Drew would almost always come to Dan's defense if the others were piling on him.

Yeah, this sucks. It took a little while but Drew grew on me. And while I really respect Jeff, they're going to need someone a little more upbeat / excited about video games to balance the Bombcast out.
