damn, i made it all the way to Hades with a super broken build, but died
got the cracked butterfly to +10% in targarus. switched to the Lucky Tooth in act 3 for the Duo.
stacked Ares Doom boons on the spear. All Epic/heroic rarity and pommed +4
Added a Hermes Dash boon, and i was flying around everywhere.
Daedelus upgraded the weapon to 3 hit jabs, no spin move.
Aspect that lets me throw the spear and charge to it, giving a damage buff.
It was beautiful

Have it on PC but haven't played since my desktop died.
This thread made me grab it for switch. Hades has incredible replayability. Finishing up a 100% game on Mario Odyssey (or as close to I can without rage quitting.) Then it's time for Hades.

I played it a bunch when it first came out, and it took me way too many times to beat it the first time. then, for whatever reason, I couldn't do it again and stopped trying about 15 runs after the initial win. It's not my type of game I guess.

Took me about 20 tries I think.

I'm the opposite. KBM is my go to for when I was playing Hades. Tried a controller for a few runs and I was playing worse on no heat than I was with KB&M on 7-9 heat.

Fired it up on Switch. Pleasant surprise that I can import my Steam save file. Still playing from the start though.
It's incredible how you can start a run planning on farming and end up half-assing your way all the way through to Hades. I think it was only my 5th run and I doubt I come close to that for a minute. Meg still kicks my arse if I'm not careful.

Bumping this because I finally made it out! Managed it in 24 runs. (57 if you include the 33 runs on my old save from 2019).
Crazy part is that my boons were pretty basic and none were really OP, and I was using the sword (for the 20% darkness boost). Athena's deflect on dash is one of the GOAT boons, and the Ares cast is nice for a hit and run strategy. Other than that I had the Dionysus boon that restores your health to 40% after every encounter, Hermes 10% dodge chance boon, Damage reduction when 30% health or below, and ended up with a ton of health from stacking Centaur hearts.
Now I can finally use the heat system and level up my weapons some.

I agree with you on Athena dash but I've had some sweatlords on reddit tell me that I'm weak for using it.

ive made it up to heat level 17 with the fists and sword
and 16 with the spear, 10 with adamant rail.
i like using Phalanx shot for deflection , and try to put weakness, chill, or hangover on my dash.
latest gimmick has been using Aspect on the sword that pops cast stones out of an enemy after a special. If i can get "lightning duo" boon with zeus/artemis that causes lightning whererever the uncollected stones are, its on
aspect of demeter on the fists with the 5x special hit after 12 basic attacks is pretty fun

I think I got it on my 10-11th run. Was able to get a 2nd clear on the next attempt. I never did the full 10 clears that you're supposed to do, but man that game was so much fun.
