What is this boards opinion of the old Bond games on PS2? I wish someone would’ve created a 007 game for PS4. Surely I wasn’t the only one that played those games but since they haven’t made one in a while I’m starting to second guess

I loved FPS on consoles growing up (N64 and original PS).

However, after playing FPS on PC for years, going back to them on console and playing with a controller was impossible.

I still don't understand how people effectively play games like CoD with a controller.

Goldeneye will forever be a classic, but The World is Not Enough was a great game as well.

Nightfire was a pretty decent game. I played it a good bit.

It's crazy to me that after the runaway success of Goldeneye that the Bond IP did not become a big video game franchise after that. The movies all lend themselves to video game so perfectly.

Agent under fire was the shite when I was like 12 but if I played it today I’m sure it wouldn’t be as good as I remember

I actually thought the world is not enough was the better game. Capture the Flag multiplayer was the shite

Night fire was fantastic, the guided middle gun was too much fun

Goldeneye is the one I hear about.

SoCom was another popular game that people loved, not JB though.

Agent Under Fire was a great game. So many new things were introduced, from the gadgets to exploring maps for hidden areas.

This.

And Perfect Dark was a great semi-sequel to Goldeneye.

Also, No One Lives Forever on the PC was fantastic - not a Bond game, but a 60s spy FPS. Super awesome game.

Everything or Nothing was my favorite of the PS2 era.

There’s some great Bond-like moments that has a similar thrill to the action of the movies like when you rappel down that burning building in one of the earlier levels, or during the high speed motorcycle chase on the Lake Pontchartrain Causeway.

I guess the lock-on targeting is a bit dated, but the hand to hand combat is still one of the best melee systems that I can think of for a third person shooter outside of the Metal Gear series.
