The remastered collection of Lunar: Silver Star Story and Lunar 2: Eternal Blue comes out today. Both of these are the PS1 versions. I highly recommended these games if you like classic JRPGs.

Apparently, they have new voice acting and quality of life additions, such as faster battle speeds.

So many classics being remastered that I just don’t have time for

The dragon quest 3 remaster looks so good

Lunar 2: Eternal Blue was incredible, but never played Silver Star Story. Definitely will be checking this out.

Love this. Now remaster Lufia and some of the Phantasy Star games and my family might never see me again.

I've always heard good things about the Lunar series. I like the colorful visual style and the mid-90s anime aesthetic.

I'm pretty early in the game, but it seems like every single dungeon is a battle of attrition in that there are so many enemies to fight and your MP is quite limited. There are MP restoration items, but they are expensive. By the time you get to the boss of the dungeon, you are out of MP or HP.

What I felt like I've had to do thus far is grind to the point of where I can kill almost all enemies with auto attack then heal up with items right before the boss. I can't see myself continuing to play if that's what I'm in for.

Those two were amazing.

My only gripe was that you could miss some of the Bromide photo collectibles in the games and due to certain events, you would never get access to go back and reobtain them if you missed them at the time.

I went ahead and ordered a physical copy. Won't get to it for a while, but I'm glad they seemed to have put a lot of care into it.

The deluxe PS1 bundles were pretty damned epic.

I wish I could’ve snagged a physical copy before they skyrocketed in price. Hopefully there will be a reprint one day.
