PS4 resale value

I was gifted a PS4 about 6 years ago and I barely play it. I am wanting to purchase a PS5 so I can play College Football 25.
My PS4 is essentially brand new, what would be the resale value on this? I don't need both for sure.

At this point you might be able to sell it on facebook marketplace for $100 bucks. Honestly just give it away to a cousin or something.
eta: you can also call gamestop and see what they will give you for it.
I also found this link on Sony's website to trade in your PS4 and get a $50 dollar voucher.

Whether true or not, I imagine what he means is that because he’s barely used it, it’s in “like new” condition. Unfortunately in the electronics world, “like new” is basically the floor if you want anyone to buy what you have. Condition any worse than that and you might as well give it away.

Yea it has sat in the hallway closet since I got it. It doesn't even see daylight

I don't even know this. I'm not big in the electronics world

They will buy it for about $100 too. So you get $150 to use toward a ps5
I'm looking at upgrading from Xbox one to ps5 & they will give me $100 for my old Xbox too
Microsoft only offered $43

That website Back Market looks legit too. They have a ton of old gen consoles for sale. Might scoop up a ps2 just for nostalgia purposes.

This is perfect. $150 off a new PS5 is good enough for me.

GameStop is the easiest route; it's what I did. Bought a bunch Nintendo credit with it.

If you're serious about retro. Get a frankenstein PS3 fat. It'll run you about 650 dollars. But it's a PS3 fat, with full PS2 backwards compatability (It actually has a PS2 inside it). It can also play PS1 games. So you have 3 generations of playstation. And if you have a PS5 you can play 4+5. So you have 5 generations of playstation.
It's so expensive because the guys who do it. Are few and far between. And the equipment needed is a couple thousand. They swap out the GPU from a PS3 slim and put it into the fat system. And replace the capacitors, put on new thermal paste etc etc. It'll last a lifetime.
It has a built in upscaler, to 1080i I believe. So you can play PS2 games, upscaled, with HDMI.
The OG PS3 with PS2 BC. Had the yellow light of death. Similar to the 360's RROD. This mod fixes it.
Here's a video of a guy doing the mod
