Sony PlayStation 5 Pro reportedly features AMD RDNA3 GPU with 60 Compute Units

Equivalent to a 7800XT desktop GPU. Still slated for Holiday '25. Dev kits have been in developers' hands for a few months now.

You mean you’re not enjoying that “Bargain Bin” Game Pass?

Does this do enough to let you play games in Graphics mode without it paling in comparison to Performance mode?

I mean, sony has 1 first party game coming next year. Who's even asking for this. I consider it a rumor and nothing more.

It is not a rumor, both new consoles launch holiday 2025.

Developers have had them since late summer.

These specs are damn near double the power. They'll actually be able to hit 120Hz in several games without sacrificing a ton on visuals to do so.

Microsoft has nothing to compete with the PS5 Pro - we know this because their entire hardware lineup leaked earlier this year.

Next year they're releasing a new baseline Xbox controller with haptic feedback, along with a cylindrical digital only Xbox Series X (replaces the current model).

They don't have anything more powerful in the works for this generation.

I have zero interest in a mid cycle refresh from either company. They haven't put out nearly enough games to warrant it. Can't wait for the three sony exclusives that come out during the pro's useful life.

Seems like the most economical approach is to just spend money upgrading PC hardware incrementally and waiting for the exclusives to find their way to steam.

It's not. rumor, so you have a dev kit? You know the ps5 dev kits had about 20% more power than the actual PS5, are you accounting for the as well?

What studio are you at exactly?
