WatchESPN app working horribly on PS4

It's my o my way ignore watching sports.
When I had Vue I didn't have issues streaming and I don't have issues streaming Netflix or playing online. What can I do to fix this?

These apps always work roughly when they initially launch on a console, so I'd give it some time. But yeah, it isn't the best. During football season it would constantly freeze and I'd have to close the app and re-launch just to get it to work. Ended up watching most stuff on my phone.

The one time I used it, I could never get it to recognize my DirecTV subscription.
I don't actually have DirecTV but I was using a family member's login. Works on my phone, NBC app, fox news app,etc

I'm using my sister's login and it worked fine for me. That's weird.

FYI if you have DIRECTV they launched the interactive ESPN app through the receiver today. you just press the red button on your remote anytime you're on any of the ESPN channels and ESPN 3 comes up. Pretty cool

I have never had any problems with Watch ESPN on my Xbone.
I haven't downloaded it for my PS4.

Anybody have any issues tonight? I'm trying to watch the OSU game and it stops and starts every 20 seconds.

I should add that the PS4 web browser works much better for ESPN than the app currently does.
