14 way divider bags, are they worth it? Hoofer/Hybrid

looking to decide between the Ping Hoofer and the Titleist Hybrid. On top of that, trying to decide between a 5 way divider and 14 way divider. who has had both and which number do you recommend? also, hoofer or hybrid?

I've had most versions, and currently a fan of my 4 way divider I have now. Drivers/woods in top, three irons a piece for the middle two, and wedges and putter for the bottom.
I had the 5 way for a while and it was fine. I basically did the same thing, just split one of the groupings, depending on where the 5th is- i.e. either split the Driver and woods or the wedges and putter.
I played with the 14 way divider for two rounds and gave it back. Having to know where things go every time got annoying. I'd grab two clubs to chip, and have to focus to put them back in the right spot. That's the main downside. I also didn't love the look, as you don't see a lot of "players" using the 14 way divider.

I have a 14 way and love it, but I’m the type of person who likes everything in its place.
If you don’t care about that, the 4 or 5 way is really nice.

I recently switched to a 14 way and I’ll never go back

I have a 14 way and I really can’t decide how much I like it. I don’t carry often so it’s not as big of a deal, but my Ogio bag carries nothing like my Ping Hoofer did.
Edit: which none of the above has anything to do with the dividers.
The 14 way is nice as I like the organization. But i miss the simplicity of the 5 way.

ok, do yall have an opinion on the Ping hoofer vs Titleist hybrid bag? I have titleist clubs except for my wedges are calloway. but i really like the magnetic compartment the ping bag has, but i prefer the organization of the top of the titleist bag. anyone have input on that?

If you plant to travel with your clubs at all, I can’t reccomend the hoofer enough. It’s all about weight for me as I usually pack my clubs about 4-5 times/year on trips. The Hoofer is super light, but the construction is top notch and it has more pockets and pouches than I know what to do with.
I had a Mizuno lightweight Cart Bag before, which I think is similar to the hybrid and I was within 5 lbs of the 50# weight limit when I had it all packed in my travel bag with shoes etc. I think I’m sub 40 with the hoofer.

A mizuno pro cart bag is 7 lbs, a hoofer is 5 lbs. You were probably packing more with the mizuno to come out with that big of a difference

I have a 6 way calloway bag. Driver and wood on top, 3-4 irons in middle 4 (2 in each), 3 wedges and putter in bottom

Ping hoofer vs Titleist hybrid bag
I bought a Titleist bag a few years ago to try to match the majority of the Titleist equipment in my bag, but I ended up switching back to my Ping Hoofer after a few months.
I can't speak for the new gen bags, but I've always preferred the setup the Ping bags have compared to others.

I have used a 14 way for years and would never go back. The new Sun Mountain C-160 is the best bag I have ever had. It is a cart bag, however, not a carry.

I just got the SM C-130 USA edition 14 way for Christmas. I love it!

Check out the Titleist Staff stand bag. I’ve had one for two years and really like the five-way divider on top as well as a magnetic pocket for valuables located above the main ball pocket. Bag is made of sturdier material than most stand bags.
