Guys,

Currently swinging a Taylormade SLDR. I'm thinking I'd like to add a little weight to the head to help gain some distance. I hit it straight, so I'm not looking to add weight to correct anything, only for more yards.

I'd rather not mess with the tape. My thought was to try and change the weight on the bottom that you adjust. But, it doesn't look like I can remove that weight without taking apart the entire head, if I can even do that at all.

anyone have any experience doing something like this?

The R15 you could remove and add sliding weights. I bet you could get an SLDR weight on eBay and add it

Then, I wouldn't mess with it. I hit the ball off the tee well past a few scratch golfers. They just always hit it straight.

That's what I was thinking. But looking at the driver, it looks like the actually weight is inside of the driver head. I thought the little blue tab was the weight, but it's only to hold the weight in place. I don't see where I can remove the weight from the head.

I'd be hesitant in adding weight to your head if you're hitting it straight. You'd start messing with the swing weight. If you do want to experiment, I'd try to find a heavier aftermarket moving weight. I know they range from 2-12 grams.

I'd look into your spin and launch numbers before adding weight. Get the best numbers to pick up distance rather than manipulate the "feel" of the head.

Add a little weight to your workout routine instead of your driver baw.

On the R15 you just needed to keep twisting the screw in eventually would fall out. The blue tab acts like a washer... the weight is under it
