Week long convention and I’m landing around 11 local time on an upcoming Monday. The goal is to get to TP around 1-1:30 and try to play 18 inside of 4 hours since the sun sets around 5:15 PST.

I was told twilight fees begin at 1 PST and those could not be booked until 4 days out for non-residents.

Looking at the SD golf website, most tee times pre-twilight are booked until late March on both North & South courses.

Call the pro shop number on the website. There is an option to get help with tee times. I don’t know if it will help, but it’s worth a try.

Just call the pro shop and they will work you in.

It’s a must play, place is phenomenal.

Rounds at Torrey are notoriously long so I would not count on getting around in 4 hours.

The warnings on the SD golf app says the rough is extremely long and to limit searching for a ball to 1 minute.

Take a free drop and continue.

I’ve played Torrey several times, and all rounds were around 5 hours. If you can’t get on Torrey South, you should consider Torrey North. Same pacific views, a good bit cheaper.

It all depends on how fast I can get to the course after I land.

Good luck, you'll probably get through about 12 holes. Have fun watching your ball land in the fairway and then not being able to find it. And the privilege will only cost you $300

I’ve looked at rates, I’d be out of pocket around $190 for the North Course and $235 for the South.

For non residents you can schedule a tee time up to 90 days in advance. We’re playing the south course March 15 and I had to go in at 4am 90 days out and they only had 4 open spots. That was the best way I was told from someone in their pro shop.

Your best bet this close to when you want to play is to call the pro shop. I’m not sure how they handle cancellations and filling those spots

Stay an extra day and go early and get in line. I waited 3 hours, played the North course, and it took 5 1/2 hours.

It is a last minute trip and all of tee times around my stay were already gone.

Calling the pro shop late next week to see if I have any options.

If you stay at that Hilton on the course they save some morning tee times for guests.

Booked Torrey Pines South at 2:40 on Monday.

They had tee times all the way through 6pm available, so I guess I should be able to finish?

You’re expecting to play a US Open host site course in 3 hours?

Played as many holes as possible on Torrey Pines North last week.

Landed around 12 local, changed and made it to the course to check in around 1. My tee time was at 2:40 on the South course, but they squeezed me in a group at 2 on the North. Rentals were Titliest driver and irons, vokey wedges and a Scotty Cameron mallet putter.

Windy, and thick rough. Anything off the fairway from distance was easily lost because it settled down and you couldn’t see it. You would usually find 2-4 balls per hole, maybe you’re own 15% of the time.

Birdied 7, played 13 holes before sunset. I chose to walk with a cart because the pace was so slow. The group ahead of us should have played up a tee box because they were consistently 200 out on most of the par 4s.

I’ll add a few pics once I get to a data signal.

It was less than 2 weeks since the Farmers and they had the rough super thick/long on both courses.

It’ll slowly be cut down to a manageable level.
