Then double crosses a 7 iron 50 yards left of the pin.
This game humbles you quickly

He is -1 today. USGA screwed up Thursday making it too easy for the afternoon wave. So stupid on their part.

Just let him win by 15 at this point.

Gonna be boring AF tomorrow. Congratulations to Clark though

I’m rooting against him, but I’m not sure how he can lose at this point.

He is one double bogie away from this being up for grabs.

Down to a 4 stroke lead.

Sam Burns doesn't count. Non threat. Clark is still 5 clear of players that actually can win.

I hear ya, but Burns just sank one.

Clark’s putter is cooling.
Dude hit 50% of the greens in a us open and shot par yesterday. That doesn’t hold up.

They handed him the win with this stupidity. I guess in fairness to him, he took advantage of it. It’s just frustrating that he’s +2 from Thursday. How many players in that Thursday morning wave played better over the next 3 rounds?

I’ve seen this a few times, what did the USGA do to make it easier Thursday?

The USGA screwed up by watering the greens between waves Thursday.
The weather delay screwed it up, but the USGA didn’t adjust.
They delayed for weather AND watered, making the course soft in the afternoon AND the wind laid down, as it does the late afternoon, making the course extremely gettable.
Hindsight obviously, but they shouldn’t have watered and let it firm up so the course overcome the wind laying down.
That said, half the field played the same draw as Wyndham… So while I really dislike him, I can’t hate him for hitting the shots required to do what he did late Thursday. About 30 other guys could have done the same thing.

Wasn’t this addressed before Thursday?
The course is always watered at 2pm, it wasn’t a special USGA decision it was standard operating procedure right?
