Anyone used them before? In the NOVA area and they pop up. Their website seems pretty clean and like they have a straightforward and robust system. Looking to eventually get fitted for irons. I have an appointment to be fitted for wedges with titleist at my club. The fitters for that won’t come back for a while so need to figure out an alternative for irons.

Generally I feel like I barely use my low irons except for select punch shots. Mostly use 7-PW. I was considering splitting up my set and buying 7-PW now to save a little money and seeing how much I miss the 3-6. I can go back and order the other half of the set when I feel I need to.

Golf Tech is also another option near me but they had worse reviews.

Cost for iron fitting is $175 if that seems like a good price point.

It's all about the fitter, see if you can find reviews for a specific person. At some of these places you can get everything from a rookie to a 30 year vet.

Go there, do the fitting and ask for your spec sheets. Then go to any golf wholesaler and build your clubs for way cheaper.

The fitting I did there was good and there was no pressure to buy. They do try and upsell you on the shaft/shaft puring.

I took my son to the one in Little Rock, they were running a special, $100 to fit the whole bag. We were there for around 3 hours and I bet he hit close to over 500 balls. You had to make a purchase to get that special so we ended up buying the putter. My nephew is the Asst. Club Pro at a course close to Little Rock and he ordered the other clubs from him at a good discount price. His fitter was good and overall, it was a good experience.

Yeah I confirmed I could keep my build sheet and purchase where I want. They did say at times there’s a $70 per club build fee. Basically said that’s a dealbreaker for me. Would make things outrageously more expensive.

I got the same deal except the fitting is free. Just need to buy one club. Was originally gonna do irons but am going to get fitted for a whole bag since that offer was on the table. I’m excited.

One of my coworkers did a whole bag fitting last year at CC. He said it was physically exhausting and he's in great shape, you have to hit so many balls in a whole bag fitting session. He recommended breaking it up into a few sessions. He bought new equipment after the fitting and was pleased with it but recently did a driver fitting at a Callaway event at his club. He now has a custom fitted AI Smoke 10K.

He did a podcast recently about he and some buddies taking another friend to CC for a full fitting. You can find it on Spotify if interested, Hey Erock is the tag name.

I did a complete bag fitting last summer and was quoted $5200 for irons, Driver and 3w.

I ordered the entire set online with the exact specifications, except the shaft truing nonsense, for $2300

I got fitted for irons a couple of years ago. They always felt heavy to me, brought them to an independent shop and it turns out that the swing weight was way off. I brought them back to CC and they said that nothing was wrong with. They were like a D5/D6 and i eventually was fitted into a D3 swingweight at the independent shop. If you can’t find a highly recommended local shop, I would pay money to get fitted at a Golf Galaxy or PGA Superstore. If you order through CC, you will pay around $250/Iron vs $150 from Golf Galaxy.

I just talked to our club pro, and he guaranteed he can beat their pricing. I'm going to take the fitting and likely just get a wedge or more likely putter, and then take the build sheet to my club and work it out with the pro.

I dunno about all club champion but I watch Ian from TXG and he is now with them as they bought him out. He’s in Canada though.

My daughter had a horrendous experience in northern Virginia - goto PGA Superstore any day there

Club champion is trained to upsell everything - especially shafts as if the stock Titelist shafts are crap - I think the place is an ego boost for wealthy cc members to brag about how much they spent - but in NOVA - go see Roger at 1757 - he is the best best best - and really fits you well

Truth.

A guy at our club was in for $4500 and had only done irons and two wedges. He was having to go back for driver and putter.

Who was her fitter? I’m going to the Loudon CC.

Also looked at 1757 but I think it was booked solid for months. I may try and call and see what’s up.

I went this week. Taylor made sent me a Qi10 LS head to replace my stealth 2. I just can’t work this driver. I want to fade it, the tech makes it want to go straight or even draw. Two way misses are something I haven’t had to fight for 30 years, and suddenly I am.

I like working a driver to best play the hole.

I spent 3 hours in there trying to find a shaft or setup that worked, and just couldn’t. Handed me an AI Smoke and I could hit it on command. Fade, draw, everything worked. Went through some shafts and ended up with one I could consistently go 1.47 to 1.5 on smash. I wasn’t getting better than 1.44 on the QI10.

They bent a couple of my wedges a degree to fit my gaps better too.

My driver comes in 3 weeks, that will tell the tale. So I’m probably going to have a very slightly used Qi10 for sale.

Gets some rest. It’s hot at Pinehurst. Good luck winning that major.

Seriously though, there are some really good players on this board. I need to get better.

Probably not the best idea.

I used to be pretty good, then I got old. Can still make some magic. Almost holed out twice in a row yesterday.

Holed out on #5 at the links at grand national, then hit a 3 wood on #6 to inches behind the hole. (That was after a double cross that hit the cart part and fortunately bounced back into the fairway, I don’t hit it 300 without some concrete assistance anymore)

Every once in a while the body remembers.

According to my shot tracker over the last 5 years I hit 71% of my fairways. Missed left 14%, right 15%.

What’s yours?

I hit one 349 one day.

I sliced it onto a cart path at the top of a hill where it caught a curbing, then ran all the way down a hill and was slung onto the fairway. I hit a wedge to 8 feet and made the putt.

My cart path game is stout sometimes.
