Never been to Top Golf. Is it frowned upon to bring my clubs/shoes?

I don't think so. But when I do go, I don't bring in the whole bag. Maybe 7 iron, driver, 5 iron and pitching wedge. Never brought my shoes but don't think it's a bad idea. Oh and my glove.

I bring them. Thousands of people have gripped the clubs there.

If you had a bowling ball would you bring it bowling?

I bring them if small group of friends. If some kind of work function or large party I don’t. Many times in my small groups we all bring them. It is way more fun with your own clubs.

I’ve never been.

Is it more of a pop a shot deal?

I assume you just have food, beer, etc.

I guess I’d just bring a 7 iron.

I wouldn’t bring them for your benefit. Hard as a rock matts, shitty balls, etc. I’m not messing my clubs up on that crap.

Not frowned upon. They actually have slots up there to place your bag in a rack.

I never bring mine when I go with friends. I am not good enough for it to matter nor is it really that competitive. I mean, we are drinking, eating and just having fun right?

If going with a group, I wouldn't bother. You will probably get 50 swings max, not worth it to me.

If you are going with 1-2 other people and the goal is to get a lot of swings in, you could certainly bring them and be fine.

When I went, I carried my 3 iron, 6 iron, and pw in with me. Could cover every shot needed. Like others said, no telling who’s gripped those clubs before me. I did take one shot with their driver though, it felt like swinging a wet noodle.

I bring in a few of my own to cover the shots. 54°, 9i, 8i, 5i, and 3h. The mats and balls won’t hurt them. I just can’t hit their stuff. None of it is close to fitting me and it feels terrible. No one seems to care. Playing in the leagues, I bring in my whole bag. Pretty much everyone does for that.

So, you're saying that for my twilight 9 on Friday afternoons, I should stop bringing my clubs also?

I don't think it's frowned upon by the company.... but everyone there is gonna think you are a try hard.

I just don't trust hitting my driver/woods with those heavy/hard/micro-chipped trash balls.

Nobody will care. But don't think that it is going to be like a driving range session as the balls definitely don't travel the same as a regulation ball.

The bigger the group, the less likely I am to bring the whole bag. Usually bring a wood, 5 iron, 8 iron and 50 degree

Good advice - if I do bring my clubs I just bring the ones that match up with the target green distances. Don't forget a glove!
