I worked there over a decade ago while I was in college. Dawna was terrible back then too. I’m surprised to find out from this thread that she’s still there

A very grumpy old guy back then, who’s probably dead by now, used to live on the course and he’d sit on his second story balcony with binoculars and constantly call the pro shop and bitch about players on the course for dumb reasons and one day he called cause he saw me go back in the woods to piss out of site while playing and dawna found out and banished me from ever coming back lol

So this guy deleted his profile?

I’m curious who he is.

Was he knighting for Dawna?

Yep. He had Denham Springs listed, but who knows if that is accurate.

No me. I write checks to a different course. I did get a text on Sunday while out of town that two LT members that played on Friday will be moving their memberships.

Who think the family will sell the club? Looks like a good opportunity.

I'd say it's an almost certainty the club gets sold in the next 3 years

No dog in this fight, but how does this person keep her job?

Mike was putting roughly 150,000 a month to break even for monthly expenses for the last 4-5 yrs. Last yr. he placed course in His foundation which was making those payments. Upon his death his daughter is going to see what those payments amounted too and will be very unhappy. Since she nor Mikes son have an interest in playing golf or running a golf course she will be the person to demand an asset sale within months. Distressed golf courses don't get top value in the Golf Club market these days...time to move is now....

Right and it appears pretty easy to get a large number of “new members” once you make it a better atmosphere there. I would think without much effort you could fill the gap that the previous owner was paying every month. In reality within a year you could triple or even quadruple current membership levels.

Can you imagine being so ignorant that you have a cushy job being paid way too much to do and say whatever you want but not have the foresight to realize you are slowly killing the very thing that affords you that job? Talk about a clown.

What did you delete your posts “David”?

I was going to ask the name of this infamous bitch but no I'm pretty sure it is "DavidK". Or at least DavidK is her bitch.

Haven't played the course in a bout 10 years. It was fun back then. Sounds like an awful time now.

The course is fine. It is the walking on eggshells that sucks. It is funny because back in the day (1990 or so) it was Oakbourne that you felt uncomfortable. I guess all the old grouchy bastards have died off. Now, it has done a complete 180 where LT is miserable.

Played LT about 10 years or so(give or take) really enjoyed the place. Why did Craig Perks leave and why did they lose the tour?

They didn’t lose the tour. They were merely the host facility. There was a separate “LA Open” board, unaffiliated with Le Triomphe that lost the tournament

Poor attendance, crappy weather, bad marketing, didn’t turn a profit.
