Getting back into golf. Golf Lessons around New Orleans

With all this time I’ve recently started playing golf again and would like to get a bit better. Played City Park South a few times last week and shot upper 90’s one round and was on pace for around the same the second round prior to rain. Problem seems to be consistently. Having never had a formal lesson I think it would be helpful. My short game and driving are ok but I really need to get better with irons especially long irons.
Anyone have recommendations for someone for basic lessons, I know there are great coaches like Brian Marchand but he may be overkill for a first lesson?

Google "golf lessons new orleans tigerdroppings" and a bunch of old threads will pop up.

Thanks man I did that. All the guys around me at City park mentioned are no longer there and the other local guy mentioned is way too talented for what I need. I really just need some basic lessons and some of the guys mentioned are top tier guys billing at 200+ an hour. I would love to be good enough to need coaches that talented but I am not there yet. Was just recommended a guy at Timberlane CC named Richie Tomblin. Will be reaching out to him.

Text Bobby Chrestman, PGA at 504-908-1902 and he will be happy to help you. Outstanding teacher for every level golfer. He teaches out at City Park or wherever.

Cajun thanks for the advice. Met with Bobby today and he was a great guy. He didn’t think I sucked and much as I thought he would but he did point out some very basic fundamentals like grip that’ I would have bet money I was doing right. Who knew after years of thinking I had a strong grip It was actually weak. Made a world of difference.

I did several with bobby, great guy. Giving Carl Poche a try at the moment. Bobby's lack of hearing made it had for us to communicate but he knew his stuff.

He is pretty deaf. But he can read your lips pretty well.
