I have been doing my research on a home golf simulation set up and need some advice. I have been eyeing skytrak, Bushnell, and GC2 but it seems like I will need a gaming PC in order to download some of the software for courses. I do not want to be limited to just one software but also was not planning to buy a gaming PC prior to research. Any recommendations for a PC that will fit my needs for a reasonable price? Also will take advice on which launch monitor to get/softwares to use.

Can't help you with PC, but for software, look at GSPRO. It's from what I've seen, the hands down best software you can get.

I have a Mevo plus it came with 6 courses on the E6 app. It runs through my Ipad or phone. So I have a Tv on a cart that I roll into the garage and hook the Ipad up with lighting to HDMi cable.

You can build your own gaming PC that would be more powerful than something you could buy

Make sure the graphics card meets or exceeds the requirements for whatever software you go with. That has the biggest impact on how smooth it will run.

I have this as well but for the Garmin. I use an ipad/iphone to cast to an AppleTV that is hooked to my projector. Has worked flawlessly.

I think for a very portable option and ease of use it’s great. The numbers are very accurate for the most part. Sometimes you get weird spin numbers but after having it for a little over a year I am happy with it. Also Flightscope is very good at identifying problems and releasing firmware updates quickly. I like that it will video your swing as well.

A lot of people will say you need a full pc but this Laptop is what i'm running with a Optima projector with my Bushnell. Not running 4k but runs GSpro and the highest visual settings and foresight without issue.

Is it even worth it getting 4K for a video game look?

I don't have 4k and have no complaints but I'm also not someone using mine to play new courses. I use mine as a driving range. GSPRO graphics are pretty insane for indoor golf so I can see the appeal for 4k.
