Tried to go to top golf yesterday afternoon, but their power went out and computers were rebooting so they closed for the night.

Tried out Golf Suites and was pleasantly surprised. The track man system is better then top golf IMO and the balls are real golf balls so you get true ball flight instead of 80%. Bays were cheap at $35 and hour for a Friday night. Food and service was better as well.

Honestly liked it better than top golf but not sure how well it will make it.

Are balls dispensed at each bay or do you have to fill buckets?

There was a golf bag ball bucket at each of the bays when we got there. 5 of us for 3 hours and only worked about halfway through it.

Me and a buddy went Thursday afternoon. I liked it better than Top golf as it is geared more for golfers looking to practice. The employees weren’t too knowledgeable about the games. But we managed to figure it out mostly.

So an hour of hitting balls (we played 9 at St Andrews then hit practice shots), and a bucket of beer came out to around $25 for each of us.

I checked out Golf Suites tonight with some friends. I definitely enjoyed it more than Top Golf. Great service. Golf balls are good. Main issue I saw was Trackman - it was consistently 15-20% off on carry and total distance.

Each bay has a trackman screen. But they are using some range wide tech. Which wasn’t checking out on distances. We were back checking with a range finder.

All in all. Will def go back and highly recommend it!

What’s funny is when I go I feel like the trackman is 10 to 15 yards longer than I normally hit it.

Yeah. I don’t doubt it’s inconsistent depending on your bay location. I noticed the trackman tech far away from our bay…..

I was gut checking with a range finder and it was consistently off. Back of the range shot 285 on the range finder which is normally what I carry the ball with a driver +/-. It was telling me my carry was 240 on the monitor and the balls were disappearing in the trees beyond the range.

They probably have the wrong set up on the ball type. If it is TrackMan.

Very disappointed to hear this. I’ve also found it hard for ranges to hold my shots. You may have to seek out a PGA card or try LIV golf??

How are the prices? I took two kids this past weekend to Top Golf. One hour in the bay plus lunch for the 3 of us was about $130 and I wasn't even drinking.

It was very affordable. $35/ hour for one bay for Saturday night. We got some buckets of beer and appetizers. We rented two bays for 1.5 hours each. Much more affordable and more like a traditional driving range.

I guess I’m somehow not explaining the point properly……..The range has targets all over - greens with flags, signs, trees. I shot those targets with my range finder to get xyz yardage. I then hit a club at that target which carried to the target. The “Trackman” was consistently showing stats with a carry distance 15-20% shorter than my range finder result.

I was there last night and the trackman was definitely showing the yardage to be a lot shorter than the ball was carrying. Definitely like it better than Top Golf

You explained it fine, you adding in that your driver carries 285 is what we’re laughing at
