Hairline crack in driver shaft near hosel

I bought a Mizuno ST180 driver with a Tensei CK White xtra stiff shaft about 8 months ago. It was a demo club, but I'm left handed and this one hadn't been hit yet. I got fitted for the shaft at Tee It UP Golf, and they sent me on my way. I have hit the driver great up until my last few times out. I have been spraying the ball wayyyy left my last 2 times to play, and I had no clue why. I checked the shaft yesterday, and it has a little crack going vertically down the shaft going into the hosel. I have a few questions regarding this:
Has anyone ever cracked a shaft right at the hosel?
How much would that affect the integrity of the shaft and ball flight?
What is your normal procedure for a cracked shaft with your local golf shop? I'm guessing warranty won't cover a demo shaft.
I'm heading over there today to get this fixed while spending as little money as possible, so I guess I'll find answers sooner rather than later. Just wanted to get a few other opinions on the matter.

I would contact Mizuno directly. Taylormade and Callaway will make it right. They will send you new clubs and a shipping label to send back the bad one.

Brought it back to Tee It Up. They will contact Mizuno for me, and they will send one to me free. They said Mizuno is really easy to deal with and sends one back pretty quickly.
I’m just glad there was actually something wrong with my club, and I didn’t just start slicing the ball 70 yds left on my own.

My man - it is Mizuno
They will hook you up - no shipping and a new club - need to ensure they have your specs (grip, shaft, any adjustment to loft or lie, tipped, etc.)
You will be happy.

Ping replaced my G30 with a new G driver when this happened

You cracked your shaft, and Ping sent you the newer version of the driver?
I will be ecstatic if Mizuno sends me an ST190. That all black carbon fiber looks amazing.
