How come Tiger Woods never plays in the Zurich Classic?

I heard rumors from a while ago that he/his buddies and Mayor Morial had issues the last time he was here. Not sure though, wanted some clarification if there is any

Some of it has to do with the scheduling, and how he doesn’t play that many events in general, and sticks to the ones he likes. The Wells Fargo has been the week after the Zurich and he plays in that as well. Tries to avoid back to back weeks when he can.

He plays courses he likes and knows he can win.

We are going deep into the hearsay wagon for this nugget, but:
I heard it had something to do with a donation he made to something or another went to a different charity and he threw a fit and said he wasn't going to play in the tournament, ever.
It's been so long since someone asked why he doesn't play, I forgot a ton of the details.
It also doesn't help where it is on the schedule. There was a stretch where it was the week after Augusta, which isn't ideal. I could see him playing now that he has to mix in a new tournament and this one is a team format, which could be fun.

There is also a rumor that when he and his Dad came for a junior tournament at English Turn, they wouldn’t let him eat lunch in the club house because he was black. I have no substantiating evidence on that, but I’ve heard it more than once from unconnected sources.
