I have no idea how to feel about this. It’s a shame Phil doesn’t have a great relationship with some of the players anymore because I feel like he would have been perfect for Bethpage.

Relationships with players didn't prove too well for Zach last year.
Keegs should do a good job with captains selections because he shouldn't be too biased which is ironically what kept him off the team last year in the first place.

Kind of an odd choice. Felt bad he didn't get selected last go around because I think he earned it over some of the boys club that were selected.
I'm sure he's going to try and be a player captain. Seems pretty young to be captain as well. My memory isn't good enough to remember most of the captains but have there been other captains this young?

Phil dug his own grave but it is ashamed they can't get passed it all for the sake of the Ryder Cup. Keegan is meh. You think Tiger looked at it and said no thanks b/c we are going to get waxed this time? no reason to think we aren't.

Keegan actually is a good Ryder cup player though. And he isn’t in the “boys club”. It’s as good as pick as any but truthfully it doesn’t matter

My guess is this is in response to some of the names picked at Marco Simone. Keegan isn’t going to put Rickie and JT on the team just because. Especially with some of the young studs popping up on tour who could be playing really high level golf by 2025.

Tom’s is pretty damn busy. You don’t just show up one week for these things. I think there is a chance he never fully went all in on truly wanting to be a part of “the club”
