I didn’t care for him personally. Little arrogant. Let’s you know his facility is the best in the country and yet I left feeling worse about my swing than I went in. I went in with a specific lesson planned with him, but when I got there, he just had me hit a bunch of 7 irons for the majority of the time and then in the last ten rushed minutes he got to what I came in for and it only made things worse since we didn’t have time to process and practice his suggested change. But hey, maybe you will have a better experience. I have had many good experiences with Rob Noel.

I hear everyone saying Brian Manzella is the best in the state, but I cant figure out how to actually book a specific date or time for a lesson from him.

I’ve had lessons with James and Rob. Both very good teachers. I personally preferred Rob.

Are you talking about James or Brian?

He's talking about James Leitz. I updated the post to include the other two instructors, but the original post that he replied to was referring to James.

The most important thing about selecting a golf coach is finding one that can communicate to you about your swing in a way you can comprehend it and make the necessary corrections.
Tech is good, but some of these guys lean too much on dazzling students with tech.
I have been to Jim and Rob.....but in the only person who could fix my game and help rebuild my swing is Chris Burkhalter at the Island. Every problem I take to him he gets fixed. By example, in our most recent couple lessons I was frustrated because I was hitting a straight ball off the tee, but only averaged 220. Maybe a good drive would be 230-240. After two lessons and then practicing what he taught me I averaging about 245 off the tee with my "A" ball reaching 265.
He teaches in a way that I was able to finally wrap my mind around. I suggest you give Burky a shot.

I have heard Brian do interviews on PGA tour radio. He seems very knowledgeable.

He’s super knowledgeable, when he teaches he can go one of two directions depending on what you want. He can make it simple or he can start talking about beta axis and negative alpha force to the point where you feel like you are in a geometry class. Guy knows his stuff though.

That’s bold. James is one of the nicest men I’ve met. Very good teacher too.

This. I have an Australian instructor and sometimes i just have to tell him i dont understand what he is saying. He is fantastic and has improved my game a ton, but it doesnt all instantly set in.

I have had lessons with Brian when he was at English Turn. We simply stayed on one section of the practice facility and had no type of technology. He is very knowledgeable and helped me greatly. He did not complicate things with a geometry, angles and technicalities.
I also have had lessons with Rob. Another great and informative teacher. He does love his analytics, computers etc.
I have not met, seen or ever had any contact with Jim. I have heard many good things about him. Some time back, I did start a thread as to why he is not mentioned more often when posters request recommendations about local clubfitters.
