That's good for them. I haven't ever watched but I might start tuning in here and there since it will be on Fox.

Still waiting to see dates added for US events in Mar, April, May so we can see pride’s viewership comparisons.

2 LIV events going up against FedEx Cup playoffs in August.

Doesn't mean its going to be on Fox necessarily. Could be FS1, FS2, or whatever other networks they run. It would be big for them if they get on Fox though.

Fox, which last aired live golf at the 2019 U.S. Open, will air all of the league’s tournaments on its network, Fox Sports 1, or a combination of both—the specifics of which remain unclear.

Problem is their first 4 tournaments of 2025 will be early morning broadcasts

Heaps of American people watch soccer and F1 in the early AM. As have American golf fans before.

Their first event of the year in Saudi Arabia is Super Bowl weekend, and then they have an event in Singapore the same weekend as all the CBB conference tournaments as well as The Players. I think they know rating wouldn't be great here with all the sports going on early in their schedule, which is why all of those events are overseas. They did a good job otherwise not scheduling their events on the same weekend as major events on the PGA Tour....except they scheduled their last two events on the same weekends as the first two weekends of the FedEx Cup playoffs. Not sure why they did that (maybe as a middle finger to the PGA ), but I guess we'll see how the two tours compete for ratings those weekends

Seems like a bad idea.

Curious if Fox will change the leaderboard look up. I would assume so. Didn't really bother me because I watch F1 and am used to a larger portion of the screen being dedicated to a leaderboard but it wasn't my favorite for golf. Nobody really cares about knowing who is in 12th place at all times in a golf tournament.

Probably wanted to finish their season before football starts & a break before Ryder Cup in September

Well their team championships are TBA for a date after August 17. Cutting it real close on both fronts if that's actually their goal. That leaves them one available weekend before football season starts.

Any other source than NUCLR Golf? They're kind of suspect.

I've read elsewhere ( ESPN) that they were in negotiations with Fox Sports, but nothing concrete like that.

Serious question

Is LIV paying Fox or Fox paying LIV?

When they first were in discussions I believe LIV would have been paying

Honestly don’t know. I wouldn’t expect Fox to pay much of anything. I would expect LIv to cover all costs if I had to guess and there would be no payment from Fox.

There’s a difference between doing that with tourneys in Europe (especially Ireland/UK) and where the first 5 scheduled tourneys for LIV are next year (Saudi Arabia, Australia, Hong Kong, Singapore, and Korea)

There are still some events tbd, but that’s not going to bring in a ton of American viewers to start the season.

Of all the LIV events, those are usually my favorite. The US events don't really interest me much. The courses they play in overseas are typically pretty bad arse. Probably different with others but that "worldwide" aspect of LIV is honestly one of the most appealing parts of it. LIV playing in Houston is just more boring than seeing the pros play in Hong Kong.
