Ping G440 4 wood is legit

I hit mine yesterday and it is a major improvement for Ping.
Slightly deeper face for the tee and easy to hit off the deck since it is 17 degrees.
I ordered mine with the Denali shaft which performed well. This club will be in the bag for a while since it fits for how I need to play my home course.

The only club that will never leave my bag is my PXG Gen3 Hybrid with the Accra shaft. That club bails me out every round, It doesn't go left on me and that's a huge plus.
I do have the Original Ping Eye2 Lob Wedge in my garage. I put it in the bag when my bunker game gets shabby. I have had that club for 30 plus years.

I really wonder how much of that is just hype from reviewers websites. They do look really nice and I know that A.I. will be a game changer for club design going forward.
The new Ping 4 wood and my PXG Hybrid are the only non Callaway clubs in my bag.

I hit the Elyte driver at demo day and it’s a smoke show. Combined with the Denali shaft it’s automatic.

Recently had a driver fitting and was really interested in the Taylormade QI35. I have a slower swing speed and was fitted into the new Fujikura White Ventus Velocore+ shaft and either the Eylete or the Ping G440. The numbers were slightly better with the Elyte.
I bought the Elyte from PGA Superstore with a stock shaft. After 4 rounds I’m regretting the purchase. The stock shaft is not for me. Hopefully when the Ventus comes in it’ll be what I’m hoping for

Opposite for me. I liked the elyte driver but the ping G440 LST felt a little better in my swing and the numbers showed it. I went with the chrome tour 2.0 xstiff. Love that shaft. Have it on the g440 3 wood as well.

How is it compared to the AI smoke? I'm going driver shopping Saturday and I'm wanting to try the AI smoke bad. If it's anything like the 5w I have it will be a cheat code.

Love the 3 wood. I have the LST driver but max 3 wood. It’s forgiving and easy to hit but really flies off the face. I’m getting in the mid 150 ball speed with it. I’m debating on what to get after that. Currently have 13 clubs. I go from my 3 wood to my 3 driving irons and regular irons after that. I hate hybrids so I don’t think I’ll go 2 hybrid. May look at getting a 4 or 5 and playing with the lofts. I just need to go get fit and figure it out.

Yeah thinking about getting the 3 wood in the next few weeks.
5 wood is easy to hit and feel like the 3 wood with the same shaft setup would work. Replaced my hybrid w the 5 wood
