Edwin Watts was like $4 a club plus the cost of the grips obviously. Think it ended up being $15-16 a club. I'm going to do them myself next go around. Been playing for 25 years, long overdue on knowing how to do them myself.

Last time I had them done at Watts several years ago, I went back to pick them up and dude told me just to give him a $20 and we were good. Pretty sure that went straight into his pocket lol

$4 per club labor? 20+ years ago it was $5 labor, + cost of grip…

It’s probably cheaper to do them yourself; but not much more to have EW ( few dollars per club plus grips) do them for you. There is no real money to be made in it for what it’s worth.

$110 roughly. Spend the money and have them properly gripped

Since you have a kid playing golf, why not learn a new hobby that you can do together? The hobby is called club repair, and that hobby starts with learning how to regrip your clubs. Here is a YouTube page full of short videos on how to replace grips. Watch a few, they are short, then decide.

I do my own. Amazon
I made a regrip station in my garage. Got a small inexpensive vice and mounted it on an L frame I built and screwed into the wall. Initial cost was less than going to the golf shop to pay to regrip including buying the grips off Amazon. The link I gave you is the grips I bought and I absolutely love them. Every bit as good as tour pride plus 4’s.
Small can of mineral spirits and you’re good to go. It’s surprisingly easy to do and I play 2-4 rounds a week so they hold up great.

I have always enjoyed regripping my own clubs . . . I find it relaxing for some odd reason.
Two words of caution:
— be careful cutting old grips off of graphite shafts and you do not want the razor cutting into the graphite (they make a hook blade knife to help with this task).
— Winn grips that look like a leather wrap always gave me fits as they were prone to separate on the install if you were not careful . . . I have avoided them for years now so they may have improved to make it easier.

Get you a little kit from golf works and install logo down. Pretty easy DIY

I remember the days when you could buy new golf pride grips for about 4 bucks a pop, A roll of double sided tape and a bottle of lighter fluid and 30 minutes later you were all set.
