I was invited to play there today, what a first class CC.

Greens were rolling 12 on the stump and the course was immaculate. The ball sat up like it was on a tee in the fairway.

Very unusual to play a course with zero rough. But it was very manicured and a bunch of bunkers.

Had lunch in the lockerroom and the number #1 locker belonged to President George Bush Sr.

It still has everything in it from his last visit there including a Presidential Blazer.

Pretty cool, great experience.

I work for the company that owns that course... they also own Blackhawk and Golf Club of Houston.

Great place

Good to hear. The Bush locker sound pretty neat.

I haven’t played Shadow Hawk or BlackHawk (Houstonian at the time) in 15+ years, but I loved both courses. There used to be a fun 27 hole course next door called Old Orchard. I won my first junior golf tourney out there. I think it’s all houses now.

Thanks for sharing. Brings back some fond memories.

Not so subtle brag...played shadow hawk one time...shot 71 with birdie on 18...one of only a few times I’ve broken par legitimately on 18. We played it on a rare No wind day and greens were holding. Great course!

Yes it is, great round Big L.

I really like the Par 5 first hole, plenty of room to loosen up. My only birdie of the day.

The course has some great Par 3s as well.
