There was a weird cult like following on here for a while but they’ve seemed to have gone away. Great irons. Feel is elite, sole is unique but not for everyone, lofts are slightly juiced. Multiple versions for different types of players.

I play a combo set of the ZX5 and ZX7. They are good clubs. I haven't played 30 different sets of Irons like some of the board but they have been solid for me. I was fitted and they were highly recommended.

I game a gently used ZX4 set I purchased late last season and they have been great for me. Excellent feel, and better through impact for me. The offset at address suits my game, I’ve been thoroughly satisfied since getting them in the bag. They aren’t for everyone, but if you could try them for yourself somewhere you might like them. As far as the lofts being juiced, to that I say they aren’t anymore juiced than what’s out there on the market, and definitely no where near TaylorMade juiced lofts, but I digress.

I had the original ZX7s. They're great irons. But put a set of P770s in the bag and haven't looked back

ZX5s here. They’re great and highly recommended by most fitters.

But it’s all about what fits your eye and your swing.

What’s your handicap and where do you split between the 5 and 7 combo?

The most common split is at the 7 iron but some go 8-9-PW

If you’re a single digit handicapper with decent speed, the ZX7 has to be on your list to try. Unmatched combination of feel and forgiveness IMO with good consistent distance. I’m not sure there is a better feeling iron period actually. In my testing only the Miura 201 was similar

I recently got a set of zx7 and zx5’s. 7-PW are zx7’s and 6&5 are zx5’s. Love my irons. I don’t notice much of a difference in forgiveness between the two. I was a little worried about getting zx7’s but they are way easier to hit than I thought they would be. Probably going to change out the zx5’s to 7’s at some point. The 7’s feel better.

I was a 10 handicap but went a few years without playing. Picked it back up 2 months ago. Played twice and shot mid 80’s. Mainly due to driver and short game trying to get caught back up. I hit balls every day on my LM. My strong point has always ball striking. The 7’s are more forgiving than you’d think. If you constantly hit off center I would go for something more forgiving , otherwise they are great.

I’m a 15ish handicap getting better. My irons are old cobra bio cells from 2013 and need to upgrade. I’m thinking of splitting between 7/8 because that’s where the grooves change according to Srixon.

My X5 iron are beautiful looking.

I'm curious about how the finish will hold up over time ?

I'm pretty obsessed about cleaning my clubs good after every round.

I have the Gen1 ZX5s and they still look great from 2021.

I've probably played 300 rounds with them since then.

Go hit them at your local golf store. I was wanting to upgrade my irons and couldn’t decide which way to go. I didn’t want a hot GI that would give me more distance. I also wanted something that looks nice in the bag and iron that I could learn to really work the ball with. He convinced me to try these. I was a little hesitant to make the jump from a GI to a players iron. Glad I did. Like I said they are more forgiving than you think… unless you constantly hit it off center by a good bit. They are forgiving, but they don’t give you much “help” if that make sense. I could hit these for hours with the way they feel when flushed. Best feeling in golf.
