Going to be in Arlington this weekend and got a tee time on Saturday for this course. Never played it but it was recommended to me by a friend. They are punching greens today which kind of sucks but there is a 25% discount on the green fee, which a lot of courses don’t do, so that’s nice. Supposedly a nice course, and a Korn ferry tour event is played there.

Anyone ever play it before? Opinions or thoughts on it?

I played it in May and enjoyed it. Wanted to play Dallas Cowboy Club but ended up there instead. There wasn’t a lot of play that day. It’s pretty forgiving and not extremely long

Nice course but expect it to be burnt to shite.

Has been 105 for 3-4 weeks straight and no rain.

Greens should be okay.

I played it in 1996 when it was still Chester Ditto municipal. I don't know if they kept any of the old holes, seems like they completely gutted it and rebuilt it.

I played there too when it Ditto around 10 years ago and it was in good shape then.

Supposed to hit 107 actual on Saturday. Gonna be a rough one.

Thanks for info everyone. I’m unusually excited about the “on deck circle” where you get to blast one more drive onto the range right before the first tee box

I played it last year a week or two before the Korn Ferry round. Was cart path only. It's a fun layout. Maybe mildly overpriced but worth a visit. They have a few holes that are good risk/reward holes.

Played there about a year ago, I enjoyed in more than the Cowboys course. Course was in great shape and actually a relatively easy course. Sucks to have the greens punched but you should enjoy it. Some nice elevation changes and the bunkers were pristine.

Played it yesterday. Love the course and the layout of the holes. It has some great views of the city too.

However, it was in horrible condition. The heat and drought has really hit this place hard. Entire course was brown, lots of dead spots with no grass, lots of ground under repair. Bunkers had hardly any sand. Greens were like playing plinko.

I’d love to play it again when it’s in good shape because it really was a nice layout.

We need rain.

Second summer in Dallas and back to back 2-3 month periods with legit zero rain and 105+ every day.

I get it’s hot and dry here but is this normal? Our club course is effin crispy.

Good luck out there in this heat. I haven’t thought of trying to get a round in with how hot it’s been around DFW.

No. Temps have been 7 to 10+ degrees above normal all summer and with the obvious lack of rain. Worse than last summer. Most Augusts are crispy but this one is off the charts hell on courses.

Buffalo Creek in Heath is in the best shape of any course I’ve played this summer. They must have water bill that would make vegas blush.
